There are some awesome trails on the Big Island here, I can't wait to explore! So far we've hiked at Manuka Park 10 min. from our house and at Volcano National Park which are both beautiful but I can't to see what else we have here!

We went for a great hike today in Volcanoes National Park. We did a 4 mile trail down through the rainforest into Kilueau crater (Kilueau Iki trail). Steam vents spewing all around us, and a massive lava field. The pictures don't do justice, but I'll post them tomorrow. The sharp lava ruined another pair of hiking boots. Sad

Oh man, that was an awesome hike! The vog made us a little short of breath but it was so incredible!! Down in the crater we definitely felt small and humble in the grand scheme of things!

We did a great hike down to a black sand beach in Hawi, it was beautiful. It was a steep hike down and back up but it was drizzling out so that kept us nice and cool.

Did another hike at a Place of Refuge, it's so awesome there! We were able to hike further than we did before since it was closed off last time and it was open today so we got to see more of the trail, it's so beautiful!!
